Once data is loaded, you can hover on the symbols with your mouse. Hovering will show details about the symbol you are hovering over. The exact information changes depending on the type of data represented by the symbol and may include any annotations you have made to the data.
When you hover on a symbol, all other symbols of the same type that belong to the same user are also highlighted. For example, if you hover on a symbol representing chat, then all chats by that user are also highlighted.
Notice also that VWTk will "underlay" a light gray grid as well coordinates. If the coordinates look strange (or "backward"), its because they follow the ActiveWorlds(TM) system where West and South are negative while East and North are positive.
In the default visualization, chats are represented by circles, clicks by asterisks ("stars"), movements by lines, arrivals by an arrow going down and departures by an arrow going up.
